John Lepper

Dr. John Lepper has
served as a staff counselor at St. Matthews Pastoral Counseling Center since
1999. He was Director of the Family Ministry Department of the Kentucky Baptist
Convention for 12 years and served as a pastor for 15 years. He has been an
interim pastor on 17 different occasions. He has written two books as well as chapters in several other books. He has also written over one hundred
articles.
Dr. Lepper has been the keynote speaker at several marriage enrichment
events and has also spoken in numerous churches on the subject of family
relationships. He and his wife Connie have led numerous marriage
enrichment retreats.
His book, When
Crisis Comes Home, was the family emphasis theme book for a large
denomination on two occasions. This book was recently revised and expanded and
now titled: When Crisis Comes Home: Revised and Expanded. It is

Dr. Lepper earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion at Carson Newman College,
Jefferson City, Tennessee and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from
Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1977 and 1981 respectively. He
completed a pastoral counseling residency at Personal Counseling Center,
Clarksville, Indiana and is a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral
Counselors.
He and his
wife, Connie, have been married for 38 years. They have two grown daughters and
three granddaughters.
