Frankfort Pastoral Counseling Center is a satellite of St. Matthews Pastoral Counseling Center (SMPCC). The center operates within the facilities of Immanuel Baptist Church, which is located at 1075 Collins Lane in Frankfort, Kentucky. Counselors at the Frankfort Satellite are employed by SMPCC. Gretchen Fern Watson is the Site Director for the Frankfort Pastoral Counseling Center. Gretchen is a pastoral counselor with extensive education/training in marriage and family therapy. She is currently completing doctoral work in pastoral counseling and family therapy in Louisville, KY. Step-family formation is the focus of her doctoral project. Gretchen has served on church staffs, ministering to youth, children and families. She has special interest in child/adolescent issues, women’s issues and clients who have experienced abuse.

She graduated from Georgetown College in 1992 with a BA in Psychology and Communication Arts and earned a M.Div. from Southern Seminary (emphasis:Pastoral Counseling) in 1997. She served her CPE Residency at Cabell Huntington Hospital, in Huntington, West Virginia during 1998-1999, and her Pastoral Counseling Residency at University Psychiatric Services, in Louisville, Kentucky during 1999 - 2000.
