Dr. Milazzotto received her B. S.
W. at Norfolk State University and her theological education at the Southern Baptist
Theological Seminary. She received the clinical component of her D. Min.
at an American Association of Pastoral Counselors approved training center
located in Louisville, KY and under the direction of Doris Moreland Jones,
Th.M. Other clinical supervisors of note include: Drs. R. D. Underwood,
G. Wade Rowatt, Leigh E. Conver, Walter C. Jackson, and Sr. Jane Ann
Comerford. She began the ministry of pastoral counseling in 1986, and is
a clinical member of the Kentuckiana Pastoral Counseling Consortium where she
teaches the art of pastoral counseling in rotation with other AAPC colleagues.
She is a certified group therapist
and also offers individual and couple therapy. Dr. Milazzotto specializes
in treating those dealing with depression, relational/marital
difficulties, bereavement, women’s issues, sexuality, and spiritual
concerns. She adds the dimension of pet assisted therapy to her counseling
practice by the inclusion of Phoenix, a Chow-Shepherd mix and an AKC
certified Canine Good Citizen.
