Dodie is a member of St. Matthews Baptist Church, a pastoral counselor and a spiritual director. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Psychology of Religion, at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and she has completed a 2-year training program in spiritual direction with the Archdiocese of Louisville. She is married to David who brings much playfulness in her life and they have three delightful children. Her favorite color is purple and she enjoys reading and backpacking. Although she won first place in a frog-jumping contest when she was 8, she no longer picks up frogs, worms or crickets. However, she spends as much time as possible outdoors. She is working on bringing more humor into her life, she enjoys hearing a good joke; however, she still isn’t very good at telling them.
The title of her Ph.D. dissertation (in progress) is Supervision of the Spiritual Mentor: A Narrative Model.
